KCI Teams Up with Covenant House
KCI Construction Company partners with Covenant House Missouri in 2024 to provide financial support and hands-on assistance to youth facing homelessness in St. Louis.
In 2024, KCI Construction launched a transformative partnership with Covenant House Missouri to aid youth experiencing homelessness in the St. Louis area. A Covenant House employee brought the organization’s impactful mission of providing shelter, resources, and hope to vulnerable youth to the KCI team.
KCI employees embraced the opportunity to make a difference, offering both financial support and hands-on assistance. The partnership began with a volunteer day that saw KCI team members tackling various projects, including sorting donations, assembling ping pong tables for the recreation center, organizing the Covenant House store, and enhancing outdoor spaces. Volunteers also toured the facility, gaining deeper insights into Covenant House’s work and discovering additional ways to support the mission, such as participating in the organization’s “Sleep Out” fundraiser.
KCI further extended its impact by hosting career talks with Covenant House youth. Members of the company’s field operations team shared insights into potential careers in construction, aligning with Covenant House’s goal of empowering youth to build sustainable, independent lives.
During the holiday season, KCI employees went above and beyond by adopting six youth to fulfill their holiday wish lists. Thanks to the generosity of the team, the initiative exceeded expectations, fulfilling the wish lists of 13 youth instead. Many of the gifts included essential items to furnish new apartments and items of personal interests, providing a foundation for a brighter future.
This partnership underscores KCI Construction’s commitment to strengthening communities through more than just construction projects. By investing their time, skills, and compassion, KCI employees have demonstrated the company’s dedication to building hope and opportunity for those in need.
