KCI Wins SLC3 Show Me Award

KCI Construction is proud to announce that we have been awarded the SLC3 Show Me Award for Infrastructure Project of the Year for our work on the I-255 Mississippi Bridge Rehabilitation Project (Jefferson Barracks) a Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Project.

This prestigious recognition highlights outstanding achievement in infrastructure construction across the region, honoring projects that demonstrate excellence in execution, innovation, safety, and overall impact.

Delivering Critical Improvements to a Vital Regional Crossing

As general contractor, KCI led the comprehensive rehabilitation of the I-255 Mississippi River Bridge—commonly known as the Jefferson Barracks Bridge—a key transportation corridor connecting Missouri and Illinois. The project was essential to extending the service life of the structure and ensuring long-term reliability for the tens of thousands of motorists who rely on it daily.

With a project value of approximately $50 million, the work included extensive bridge repairs such as deck rehabilitation, expansion joint replacement, structural steel improvements, and protective coatings designed to enhance durability and performance.

The rehabilitation of the Jefferson Barracks Bridge required detailed coordination, innovative problem-solving, and a strong commitment to safety.
