There are 32 bridges along Interstate 44 in the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County that need maintenance, as well as two pedestrian crossings over the interstate. The Missouri Department of Transportation broke up this large project into smaller portions. KCI was contracted to complete the rehabilitation along Lewis Road for I-44. The project included the rehabilitate of eastbound and westbound I-44 bridges over Meramec River & Lewis Road, including deck (3600 SF) & substructure repairs (4800 SF), bearing (104 EA) & joint replacements (1514 LF), deck sealing (5722 SY), UHPC concrete (30.6 CY) and polyester overlay (9515 SY).
