This project includes seismic upgrades on the section of the highway from 7th Street to 11th Street, and painting of all structural support steel between 7th Street and 14th Street.  This congested area of downtown St. Louis required us to      coordinate working in the parking lot of the General Services Administration, alongside and above Metrolink light rail tracks, above City Streets, and next to Busch Stadium.  Constant communication with these factions, as well as dealing with traffic on the highway and streets below, made this project an example of coordination.

The project scope included installation of 1.3 million pounds of structural steel and 130,000 pounds of steel column collars, 144 drilled piers ranging in depths of 30’ to 75’, and modifications to the existing pile caps and concrete columns.
