The Missouri Department of Transportation determined the Route 79 bridge over Bear Creek and the Norfolk Southern Railroad needed to be replaced. The construction on the bridge replacement project_aimed to enhance safety, connectivity, and infrastructure resilience in the area. KCI was contracted for the project which included a bridge replacement consisting of structural steel spans and earthwork to shorten the bridge length on the north end as well as new foundation, substructure, and new superstructure.
